Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan ordered the competent authorities, to provide incentives for investors in the tourism sector, according to media reports.
He asked the provincial governments to restore old tourist resort buildings based on private-public partnerships.
In order to promote the tourism industry PM stated that problems related to tourism must be addressed promptly at the chair of the National Coordination Committee on Tourism (NCC). PM has informed the departments concerned that they can rapidly finalize proposals to offer tax relief facilities to parties interested in developing top-class hotels and tourist resorts.
In addition, PM Khan said that Jhelum and the nearby areas must be renovated in historic sights and rest homes. The meeting was informed of the promotion of the tourism sector with an international organization’s partnership in Punjab. The rules and regulations established in Punjab for tourism have also been reported in the near future.
In the same manner, a master plan was drawn up for four unsegregated tourist areas in order to promote the tourism sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Moreover, its rules on the launch of tourist air safari services have been amended by the Civil Aviation Authority.
At the meeting, PM Imran Khan was briefed about the development work in Attock Fort and Bala Hisar Fort on new tourist attractions. In order to promote tourism in all provinces, the centrally operated tourism website was revealed.
