Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) directed the relevant authorities on Monday (October 4) to issue no-objection certificates (NOCs) for the construction of high rise buildings in Peshawar within given timelines, according to media reports.
The chief minister stated at a meeting of the Local Government and Rural Development Department that the facilitation of easy and quick business transactions and providing maximum facilities for investors are integral parts of the government’s vision.
In addition, the Chief Minister instructed the officers concerned to comply with the regulations and provisions to facilitate investment in the private sector. He also said the government in office had drawn up legislation to attract investment from the private sector,
However, rather than facilitating it, barriers were created for investors at a lower level. In addition, CM Mahmood Khan said that the officials who have been negligent or have deliberately caused barriers to private investors will be strictly dealt with.
The meeting was attended by Director General Ammara Khan of the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), Management Secretaries, the Commission, Chief Secretary Kazim Niaz and other officials concerned.
