The Capital Development Authority (CDA) decided to strictly enforce the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Zoning Laws of 1992 and ensure that private housing society developers implement them.

Among the housing plans which had been sealed earlier in October last year were Ayesha Town, Islamabad Cooperative Housings System, Golf Residency, Royal City, Royal Residence, Dreamland City, Babar Enclave, Ideal Residence, Rawal Enclave, and the Society of Yar Muhammad.

The plans and development of private housing Schemes in Islamabad are currently controlled by two CDA directorates. The housing department is governed by Zones II and V, while the Regional Planning Directorate is governed by zone IV.

The CDA board considered a number of measures to prevent the establishment of unauthorized housing complexes, officials said.
