Beacon Investment is hiring an experienced Project Engineer (Civil) for a full-time, on-site position in Islamabad / Rawalpindi.
We are looking for a civil engineer with 3–6 years of hands-on building construction experience who can manage site execution, contractors, procurement, material quality, project costs, schedules, and coordination with consultants.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer (Civil), you will be responsible for coordinating the technical and operational aspects of our upcoming residential and commercial construction projects.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both on-site construction execution and project commercial management.
You will work closely with contractors, vendors, architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and management to ensure projects are delivered according to approved drawings, specifications, budgets, quality standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution & Construction Management
- Supervise daily civil, structural, and architectural construction activities.
- Manage site labor, subcontractors, and specialized trade teams.
- Ensure construction is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify site issues early and coordinate practical solutions with consultants and management.
- Maintain proper site documentation and progress records.
Material Quality & Inventory Control
- Inspect incoming construction materials including steel, cement, aggregates, concrete materials, and finishing items.
- Review relevant material testing reports and quality requirements.
- Monitor material consumption and site inventory to minimize wastage.
- Maintain accurate stock and material movement records.
Procurement & Sourcing
- Forecast material requirements based on project timelines.
- Obtain and compare quotations, selecting vendors based on quality, pricing, and schedules.
- Coordinate procurement orders and ensure timely deliveries.
Contracts & Subcontractor Management
- Prepare and administer work orders, scopes of work, and subcontract agreements.
- Verify subcontractor outputs, measurement books, and running bills.
- Coordinate specialized trades and maintain clean contractor relationship logs.
Cost Control & Billing
- Maintain detailed project expense logs and track spending against budgets.
- Support preparation of BOQs, project estimates, and cost variation files.
- Highlight potential budget overruns and present remedial plans.
Schedule & Stakeholder Coordination
- Monitor project milestones against schedule targets.
- Coordinate day-to-day items between architects, structural consultants, and MEP experts.
- Produce weekly and monthly project status reports for administrative stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.Sc. / B.E.).
- Valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration.
- 3–6 years of practical experience in building construction (commercial & multi-story residential).
- Strong command of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Familiarity with project planning tools (MS Project / Primavera).
- Practical knowledge of building material metrics, contract administration, and site log dynamics.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and site management skills.
